THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. The tracking number for this announcement is W912DR-07-S-0005. The NAICS code for this proposed acquisition is 561730 (Landscaping Services) and the Federal Supply Code is S208 (Landscaping/Groundskeeping Services). The Government will use responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the type of procurement to be ut ilized to obtain the services. The Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District is soliciting a capability statement from all qualified and interested parties for Grounds Maintenance Services at the Washington Aqueduct Properties, Washington, DC. The Washingto n Aqueduct is located in Northwest Washington DC at the Maryland state line and the Potomac River. The Washington Aqueduct and associated outlying property and facilities cover approximately 127 acres that are to be maintained under this proposed contract . Work consists of providing all services, materials, supplies, supervision, labor, and equipment to provide grounds maintenance services consisting of grass cutting, edging pavements and curbs, cutting vegetation, trimming hedges, mulching, weeding, poli cing grounds, removing leaves, removing fallen limbs, and pruning trees at the Washington Aqueduct Properties, Washington, D.C. The Government invites contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements to submit Capability Statements consisting of: 1) Firms name, address, point of contact, telephone & fax numbers; 2) Size determination of firm: (Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Small Business, or Women Owned Small Business); 3) Submit proof of projects that have been completed including the name of the project, point of contact with phone number for the owner of the project, the project duration dates, the final contract value and a short description of your role and work perf ormed (less than 200 words). To be considered projects must have the following elements: a) Company served as the prime contractor (or was a joint venture) b) The project must have been successfully completed within the last five to ten years c) The projects must be similar in size, scope and dollar value to the project of interest. The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not considered to be a proposal, but rather a statement regarding the companys ability to demonstrate existing or developed expertise and experience in relation to the proposed contract. Existing mark eting material may also be submitted with the Capabilities Statement. The submission of a Capabilities Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent wi th industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation. Offers that do not meet all requirements or submit within the allotted time will not be considered.
