Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to enter into negotiations on a sole-source basis with The Boeing Company Integrated Defense Systems to procure Ai760 Integration to Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). Specifically, Boeing will perform the following: develop Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI) specifications and drivers for the new instrument capabilities of the Ai760; modify previously developed Resource Manager/Handler-wrapper software required to integrate with IVI drivers for updated instruments on RTCASS/CASS; modify CASS station to incorporate the new instrument; demonstrate ?proof of concept? for Ai760 design by running CASS TPSs on the modified CASS station; provide report describing performance relative to CASS and RTCASS B1 specifications, TPS testing results, instrument capabilities and recommended resolution of instrument issues.The Government does not own the technical data necessary to conduct a competitive procurement. Boeing is the original equipment manufacturer of the RTCASS and is the only source capable of ensuring that the Ai760 functions as part of an integrated system with RTCASS. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses to this notice must be received within 15 days.
