- Description
- The Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Program anticipates a change in release of the System Development and Demonstration (SDD) Request for Proposal (RFP) from late January 2007 to mid-February 2007. The final RFP will address United States Navy (USN) requirements as well as Options to address Australian Unique Objectives. On 13 January 2007, formal approval, via a signed Project Agreement, was given for Australian involvement in Pre-SDD efforts. Formal agreement to proceed with SDD cooperative development activities involving Australia is not anticipated until after the BAMS UAS source selection decision. The BAMS UAS program intends to conduct an additional Presolicitation Conference on 8 February 2007 to address modifications to the Performance Based System Specification (PBSS) including Australian Unique Objectives. In addition, the program office plans to release an updated draft PBSS prior to the conference. The BAMS UAS Presolicitation Conference is open to all interested parties. Conference attendance is not limited to only potential prime contractors. The BAMS UAS program office will provide a follow-on FEDBIZOPPS announcement outlining the details of the PBSS release and the Presolicitation Conference. One-on-One discussions are not anticipated.
