Description
Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Force Space Command, SMC - Space and Missiles System Center, 483 North Aviation Blvd, El Segundo, CA, 90245-2808, UNITED STATES Description THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THIS REQUEST IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY, AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, A SOLICITATION, A REQUEST FOR QUOTES, OR AN INDICATION THE GOVERNMENT WILL CONTRACT FOR THE ITEMS CONTAINED IN THE RFI. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH SUBMISSION OF THE INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED OR REIMBURSE EXPENSES INCURRED TO INTERESTED PARTIES FOR RESPONSES TO THIS RFI. The Global Positioning Systems Wing (formerly, NAVSTAR GPS Joint Program Office) is seeking to identify and obtain information from responsible sources who have proven hardware that can meet all requirements of CI-GRAM-500A and Addendum 1 and should fully support the IS-GPS-167 interface. Additionally, the hardware should be capable of Direct-Y initial acquisition of the GPS signal-in-space. For RFI purposes, the term proven means hardware that is developed and is ready for fielding or is already fielded, and only requires integration as a developmental aspect. The Government may acquire for testing purposes one or more vendor products. Foreign equipment will be evaluated for suitability. This evaluation will be used to determine cost and performance trade-offs for hardware/software associated with these devices., Vendors must have adequate fabrication and test facilities to warrant pre-production testing and limited procurement of component items. Responses are requested of those suppliers who can provide working hardware ready for test and demonstration purposes on or about 01 January 2006. Responses to this market survey are due on or before February 22, 2007 and must include a product description with performance parameters and a statement regarding current availability, indication of the technology readiness level or maturity of the technology, summary of prior testing, test reports, an estimated schedule and an estimated cost for the price of test articles and production units. Please provide name of firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. Point of Contact Technical: Mr. Matt Segal, (310)653-3102 E-mail: RFI submissions and questions to: Mark.Santasiero@losangeles.af.mil with an info copy to matthew.segal@losangeles.af.mil.
