Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), John E. Fogarty International Center (FIC) have a requirement to procure a contractor to prepare cost-effectiveness and other economic analyses to the second edition of the "Disease Priorities in Developing Countries". The scope of work for this purchase order is to: 1) Conduct new cost-effectiveness analyses for a set of six disease/condition clusters specific to India, to be defined in consultation with the Disease Control Priorities Project (DCPP) Senior Editor and other responsible DCPP Editors. This includes: a) search for data on cost and effectiveness of interventions in the India context to complete analyses, or specify what information is missing and needed; b) perform such calculations as may be needed to complete the cost-effectiveness analysis for the set of disease clusters under consideration; 2)Produce publishable papers around previously conducted economic analyses of interventions to address neurological disorders, acute respiratory conditions in adults and helminthic infections; 3)Provide comments on chapters s written by Indian authors for the workshop and guidance to authors in revising their contributions; 4)Present and discuss conclusions of the analyses, where relevant, at meetings of the Responsible Editors, DCPP consultations with authors and meeting devoted to dissemination of the Project findings; and 5) Collaborate with the DCPP Senior Editor and other responsible DCPP Editors in competing the above deliverables. The proposed length of this contract will be commencing with award date through December 31, 2007. Award will be based on Best Value. This is not set aside for small business. A statement of work will be attached to the Request for Quote (RFQ) package. Responsible vendors that are capable of providing FIC with the services may request a copy of the RFQ in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NICHD-07-151 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is February 12, 2007. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 774C, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 Attention: Tina Robinson. Fax quotations must contain offerors names, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
