Description

Desc: 1005-01-521-7962, Part Number 13002190, The item to procure, M249 New Bipod consists of: leg assy, pivot rod, collar, spring pin, external retaining ring, ball nose spring plunger, leg torsion helical spring and slotted tubular spring pin. Par ts are machined, welded from steel bar 4140 or tubing 1020 to 1026, heat treated to RH 28-32, phosphate base and finish applied per specification. This will be a 5-year IDIQ with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 9,000 each and a contract maximum of 75,000 each. FOB is Destination, for use on the M249 Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is January 26, 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: this solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Be cause of this, the government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% s mall business set-aside. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY07 requirement.
