Description

DESC: 1005-01-254-9801, Part Number 12540416. The item to procure is a Rod, return and transfer mech assembly (NSN: 1005-01-254-9801) end item, M249, 5.56MM machine gun. Machined from steel compsn 4140. Approximate size, 10.00 IN. X 1.28 DIA. Quality standard ANSI/ASQC Q9002 and inspection gages are required. Heat treat and phosphate coating required. Requirements are the minimum guaranteed quantity of 6,000 ay and a maximum contract quantity of 50,000 ay of the M249 Rod Return and Assembly. FOB is destination. For use on the M249 5.56MM Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is January 31st, 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
