Description
The Arkansas Army National Guard has a requirement for a Mobile Dental Practice Services for approximately 50 soldiers. Dental services to consist of the following: 1. A fully functional OSHA (Occupational Safety Health Act) compliant Mobile dental practice, not portable equipment, to enhance environmental factors, patient safety, comfort, efficiency, and treatment acceptance. Environment should be similar to a tradi tional dental practice. 2. Mobile dental practice will offer privacy and confidentiality in separate dental treatment rooms, or operations with fully functional dental chairs for exams, x-rays (panoramic and bite wing), and treatment. As in a traditional dental practice, the dent al team will consult and discuss treatment needs with service members without risks of disruption and inadvertent HIPAA communication violations. All lightning and equipment will be professional strength for optimal patient treatment. 3. The mobile dental practices will provide: Regulated individual operatory temperature control, professional quality sterilization equipment. On board ventilation system, waste management for bio-hazardous waste, refrigeration system for treatment supplie s, and designated clean sterilization area. Infection control is extremely important for medical and dental practices. 4. To avoid inadvertent radiation to clinicians and patients/Soldiers, the mobile dental practice will offer lead-lined walls around each operatory. This is a necessary safety precaution that is not commonly available for portable dental equipment. 5. The Mobile dental practice will contain all emergency equipment required for traditional dental practices, not to include special areas like oral surgery, endodontists, and periodontists, but will include medical emergency kits, eye wash stations, and o xygen tanks. These considerations are necessary for both examinations and treatment. 6. The Mobile dental practice will follow all ADA compliance codes. 7. Dental restoration services will include extractions, fillings, root canals, etc in order to bring Soldiers to a military dental classification of 2. Class 2 is defined as- Patient has some oral conditions, but you do not expect these conditions to resu lt in dental emergencies within 12 months if not treated (i.e. requires prophylaxis, asymptomatic caries with minimal extension into dentin, edentulous areas not requiring immediate prosthetic treatment). 8. Vendor will provide the AR ARNG Deputy State Surgeon (LTC Donald Books, State Surgeon, Camp Joseph T. Robinson, North Little Rock, AR) a detailed dental report listing by name of each Soldier, the procedures performed, and the associated ADA code for the procedure. 9. The services must be performed at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, in Chappelle Armory, North Little Rock, AR. Services to be performed 30 -31 January 2007 from 7am-3:30pm. Other times may be available. Point of contact for location at Camp Robinson is LTC Dona ld Brooks 501-212-5456. 10. DENCLASS/MEDPROS data entry is required within 5 days after services are rendered. 11. Vendor will provide administrative support and daily statistical reports in an automated format. Daily statistical reports will include Soldiers names, unit, SSN, date, pano, bite wing, dental classification, and comments. Detailed dental treatment re port will include the Soldiers names, unit, SSN, date of procedure, ADA Code, procedure name, tooth number, surface affected, and cost. The daily statistical reports and detailed dental reports will be provided to the AR ARNG Deputy State Surgeon. 12. In order to effectively evaluate each vendors quotes, all quotes shall be broken down and not shown as a lump price to include number of professionals and their rate of pay and cost of individual exams, treatment, extractions, root canal, etc,.
