Description

1. Question: What is the application? Answer: The application is an all-fiber velocimeter (velocity measurement system) for impact and other dynamic tests. 2. Question: Is a 5mm collimated ouput rather than the FC/APC termination acceptable? Answer: No, the laser must be coupled into a single mode fiber with appropriate termination (i.e., FC/APC or FC/PC) to fit the application. 3. Question: What control commands are required through GPIB and RS232? Answer: Minimal commands are required: "on/off", "shutter on/off", and an intensity control should be sufficient. An ability to modulate the input and detect/report the frequency is desirable but not required. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-JAN-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
