- Description
- The Army Corps of Engineers, Topographic Engineering Center (TEC), located in Alexandria, VA, has a requirement for the procurement of Digital Topographic Support System-High Volume Map Production (DTSS-HVMP) systems. The procurement will be awarded as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and will be a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This type contract provides for filling all actual purchase requirements of designated Government activities for supplies or services during a specified contrac t period, with deliveries or performance to be scheduled by placing orders with the Contractor. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334119. The business standard size is 1,000 employees. The DTSS-HVMP consist of a large format, high speed (digital) printing hardware and software; high speed roll paper cutter hardware; computer workstations and memory peripheral hardware; communications equipment shock mounted/isolated in a 20 foot ISO shel ter (20ft. x 8ft. x 8ft). The shelter has Environmental Control Units (ECUs) and ducting for heating and cooling; Gas Particulate Filter Units (GPFUs) for filtering air-borne chemicals and biological agents from entering the helter; Signal and Power Entr y Panels; a fresh air fan, a black out curtain; cabinets and shelves; and interior lights. Shock skids are placed at the bottom of the shelter. The shelter assembly is mounted on a standard US Army five (5) ton vehicle (900 or 1000 series). The Army int ends to procure up to 30 of these DTSS-HVMP configurations. It is anticipated the Government will procure up to six units by issuance of the first delivery order, and the remaining additional units will be purchased by subsequent orders within the contrac ts ordering period. The contractor will be responsible for manufacturing the shelter assembly and equipment mounts, modifying the 900 and 1000 series trucks to accept the 20' ISO shelter, installing all hardware and software within the shelter (printers, plotters, cutters, eq uipment racks/mounts, ECUs GPFUs, shelves, cabinets, electrical wiring, etc), Contractor equipment testing, Government First Article Test support, and Logistics Demonstration Support. The Contractor will also be responsible for updating and maintaining th e existing Drawing Package, Technical Manuals (-10, -20, -20P), Software Users Manual, and Lesson Plans. The design will be controlled by a Purchase Description and a Statement of Work. The solicitation will be available on the http://fedbizopps.gov/ web site for download. The anticipated solicitation release date will be on or about 24 January 2007. The anticipated contract start date is 30 March 2007. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation will be released by the USACE VICKSBURG CONSOLIDATED CONTRACTING, ALEXANDRIA OFFICE, via the http://fedbizopps.gov web site and can be located by clicking the contracting opportunities icon.
