Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote, no. Q9512070021. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The National Park Service contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation, to the quoter providing the best value to the Government. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the NPS. NAICS code: 212321; small business size standard: 500 employees. Requirement for aggregate is as follows: CLIN 0001: Pit Run 6" minus, quantity 638 actual tons; CLIN 0002: Class 5 Riprap, quantity 45 actual tons. SCHEDULE OF PRICES: Quoters shall provide a price for all line items. CLIN 0001: Pit Run 6" minus, Unit Price $_______________ x 638 actual tons = $_______________. CLIN 0002: Class 5 Riprap, Unit Price $_______________ x 45 actual tons = ______________. All prices should reflect FOB destination. Delivery shall be to the Hoh Rain Forest stockpile area, located approximately 45 miles north of Amanda Park, Washington, on upper Hoh Road. There is insufficient turnaround area for use of a rigid pup; transfer pups are permissible. DELIVERY: CLIN 0001: Full quantity to be delivered Sunday, January 7, 2007 through Tuesday, January 9, 2007. CLIN 0002: Delivery between January 8, 2007 and February 28, 2007 on an as-needed basis with deliveries made within 48 hours of request. MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT: Measurement of all aggregate will be in U.S. Tons. The contractor shall furnish weigh tickets for each delivery made. Payment will be made on actual quantities received. The following provision applies to this acquisition: Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors--Commercial items. FAR 52.214-31, Bidders may submit facsimile bids as responses to this solicitation. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation, Commercial Items: The government will evaluate quotes in response to this request and award a purchase order/contract to the responsible bidder whose offer conforms to this request and will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors (e.g., past performance, delivery, and/or quality). Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with procedures in FAR 13.106-2(b).10. Offerors are to include a completed copy of provision FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items. The following clause is applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items. The following clause is applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items.
