Description

NOTICE OF INTENT - The Regional Contracting Office, Alaska, Fort Richardson, Alaska intends to issue a sole source award to Runyan Industrial Gas Analyzers, Inc dba RIGAS for conducting three quarterly audits and one annual on each of six Continuous Opacity Monitoring System (COMS) at the Central Heat and Power Plant, Fort Wainwright, Alaska consistent with Environmental Conservation (ADEC) requiremenets, and the opacity monitor manufacturer's written recommendation for installation, calibration, and operation. The Government intends to acquire this using commercial service under FAR Part 12 and intends to place the purchase order pursuant to FAR Part 13.106-l(b), which allows for the acquisition of services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. Qualified CCR registered firms have 5 business days from the publication to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Gover nment not to compete this proposal contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procureme nt. Request for written Quotation will not be issued.
