Description
This project is required to repair a structurally compromised flood protection system and infrastructure. This project will eliminate life, health, safety (LHS) deficiencies resulting from hurricane damage associated with the piers and seawall. Eff ect necessary repairs, from Hurricane Isabel to Fort Monroe flood protection system and infrastructure to include but not limited to Seawall repair/improvements, levees, berms, flood gates, roadways, guardrails, pavement, curb and gutters, walkways, sidewa lks, railings, breakwater system, seawall lighting, drainage systems, and associated flood protection systems. Work will include the restoration work in the vicinity of piers along installation water front. Special architectural treatments are required fo r historical district compatibility. Supporting facilities include electrical services, site improvements, and landscaping. Antiterrorism/force protection measures include barriers and visual screening. The construction duration is 450 calendar days fro m receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The receipt date for proposals is 06 FEB 2007. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 237990 applies to this procureme nt. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 3 JAN 2007 via http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ (search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District). No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS, https://www.fedteds.gov) database prior to download of plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a co ntract. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
