Description
The North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office (NARCO) is conducting a Sources Sought for qualified (8a) certified firms that can provide commercial Non-Personal Services in Diagnostic Academic Radiology at the Department of Radiology, Walter Reed Ar my Medical Center, Washington, D.C on or about September 2007. This requirement will require 17 full-time Diagnostic Academic Radiologists meeting or exceeding the following professional qualifications: (1) Education: Degree as Doctor of Medicine or Doct or of Osteopathy from a school in the U.S. or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body. Graduates of foreign medical schools practicing in the U.S. are required to possess both a medical license and certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMGP) or Fifth Pathway; (2) Licensure: The academic diagnostic radiologist shall possess and maintain a current, active, valid, and unrestricted medical or osteopathic medical license from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. In addition, they shall possess and maintain a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number (certificate) to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with the laws of the state in which t hey are practicing. All licenses and certificates must be renewed and maintained in a current status during the life of the contract; (3) Certification: The contract physician shall possess current board certification from the American Board of Radiolo gy; (4) Experience: The contract physician shall have completed a Fellowship in Neuroradiology, Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Ultrasonography, Pediatric Radiology, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine or Mammogr aphy or other sub-specialty of diagnostic radiology or equivalent experience of at least 3 years. Interested and qualified 8(a) certified firms are requested to provide the following no later than 15 December 2006: (1) Valid (8a) certification; (2) offero r's qualifications in comparable complexity and similar technical requirements to include contract number, number of full time equivalents, dollar amount on project/contract, and period of performance..
