- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation number: VA-786A-07-IB-0006 for the following: Contractor shall provide construction services for expansion at the Beaufort, SC, National Cemetery to include Installation/development of 1900 pre-placed crypts, 500 4 x 4 cremains; Demolition of existing buildings; Construction of a combined maintenance/public restroom building; Construction of a committal shelter building; Irrigation; Fences and Gates; Asphalt roadwork; Landscaping; Clearing and Grubbing; and Site Utilities (water, electrical, storm water, sanitary, etc). The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. NAICS code is 237990. The Size Standard is $31.0 Million. Performance period is 540 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. Bid, Payment, and Performance bonds will be required. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside. Subject to the availability of FY07 funding. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL: Electronic solicitations are not available. Requests for hard copy drawings and specifications must be in writing to: Rochester and Associates, Attn: Tom Oliver, 200 Ashford Center North, Atlanta, GA 30338 (404) 252-1334. Bidders will be charged a $150.00 non-refundable fee for each set of drawings and specs. Fee must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order made payable Rochester and Associates. All requests shall be on company letterhead to include point of contact, physical mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address. Also, please indicate if you are a general or sub contractor.  No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation release date is January 8, 2007. BIDDER'S MAILING LIST: Interested parties should register for the Bidder's mailing list at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ (Interested Vendor List). Individual copies of the Bidder's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. NOTICE TO PRIME (GENERAL) CONTRACTORS: Unless Prime (General) Contractors are registered on the FedBizOpps website, potential subcontractors will not know of your interest in bidding on this project. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http:www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By registering for the Register to Receive Notification list at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Potential bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging any amendments to the solicitation.
