Description

The contracting office at Al-Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. will issue a Request For Proposals (RFP) for construction project for Hangar Repair. The project magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 in accordance with FAR 36.204. This solicitation is full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236210. The entire solicitation will be made available on the Government Point of Entry (GPE), Fedbizops website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. on or about 5 December 2006. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision necessary to repair/replace the big mouth doors as well as provide general maintenance to four Universal Fabric Structures manufactured hangars, model TFS/R 40m x 55m with one big mouth door. The work to be accomplished shall consist of but not be limited to the replacement of all big mouth panels used to open and lower hangar doors to include retensioning of roof and gable liner panels. Safety cables shall be replaced with plastic coated cables and outside galvanized steel winch cables shall be replaced with stainless steel cables. All 90 degree pulleys and all nylon pulleys with steel casings shall be replaced and/or repositioned as needed. All guide bolts in the pulleys with rolling sleeves shall be replaced on big mouth frames. General maintenance shall consist of but not be limited to tightening of bolts and straps, retensioning fabric, and lubrication of parts. Emergency exit doors shall be readjusted as needed.
