Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR TURBINE PUMP ASSEMBLY. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide the questions and answers to this synopsis/solicitation. They are provided below: Question 1: The solicitation shows two different delivery requirements: 5 months ARO and the end of June 2007. Which is correct? Answer 1: Delivery of the TPA will be by June 29, 2007. This is the best estimate on how many months ARO since I’m not sure when the Purchase Order will be sent out. I’d like to have it completed before the end of this month, but I can guarantee it. Question 2: Is the refurbishment plan required to be submitted at part of the quote or will that be developed with NASA under the TPA unit contract? Answer 2: The refurbishment is not part of the RFQ, at least in terms of the cost. What we are looking for is the cost and the required time to refurbish the TPA so that if we use all of the available life of the purchased TPA during testing, we will know how long it will take and what it will cost to have it refurbished. The refurbishment itself, if we were to do it, would be a separate purchase down the road separate from this particular RFQ. Question 3: Is there a required format for the proposal, or is offeror format acceptable? Answer 3: There is no required format for the quotation. Please be sure you include all of the required information that is stated in the synopsis/solicitation in the quotation. Question 4: Is there a page limit for the proposal? Answer 4: There is no page limit. The quotation shall include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. This may include product literature, or other documents, if necessary. Question 5: Is there a requirement that a certain percentage of the work be performed by the small business? Answer 5: There is no required percentage of small business participation. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (04-DEC-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
