Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intend to negotiate a noncompetitive contract with VEMCO Marine Sales Limited. This procurement is for the purchase of VEMCO Telemetry Equipment. VEMCO Telemetry equipment has been used in a study of the endangered pallid sturgeon in Middle Mississippi River for two years. It is essential to the effort that the telemetry tags and receivers are compatible with the on-going-study in the Middle Mississippi River in order to locate and track previously tagged pallid sturgeons, therefore, the Fish & Wildlife is restricting this purchase of VEMCO equipment for this study. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S. C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION OR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within its discretion. All inquires and concerns must be addressed in writing to the facsimile number stated herein, Attn: Frances Brown. Responses to this notice must be received by December 6, 2006.
