- The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) will be issuing a sole source letter Request for Proposal (RFP) to Oakland University to perform further research into the fastening and joining of advanced composite materials and structures and fatigue of bolted systems. Oakland University will also analyze and correct the ongoing connection issues with the Paladin T-154 track system. Oakland University will also address unforeseen fastening and joining issues assoc iated with fielded Army vehicles. This requirement will be a cost reimbursement modification to Contract DAAE07-03-C-L110 with Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan. Also included in this modification will be 1,000 man-hours (level of effort) to suppor t Emergency Laboratory Testing and Consultation unforeseen needs. The period of performance of the Paladin T-154 system shall be nine months after contract award. The period of performance for all other effort will remain the same as it currently exists in the contract, 17 Jun 08. This requirement will be solicited by letter. Issuance of a formal solicitation is not anticipated. While this RFP is being issued on a sole source basis, any interested parties may request a copy of the letter RFP by sending an email request to janet.joudas@us.army.mil. All solicitations issued on or after 1 Apr 1999 require offerors to submit offers paperless: only electronic format will be accepted.
