Description: The IRB is an improvement to the Standard Ribbon Bridge (SRB) and consists of bridge elements called bays (Interior Bays and Ramp Bays). The IRB is fully capable of handling Military Load Classification (MLC) 80 Tracked (T) and MLC 96 Wheeled (W) sy stem crossings under normal crossing conditions. The IRB provides a continuous roadway over water when permanent bridges are not available. It also provides a raft capability to transport combat or tactical vehicles.
