- The Joint Product Manager for Biological Detection Systems is seeking market research, potential sources, and best practice information for hand held and one man portable biological aerosol detection, identification and sampling technologies in preparation for the Joint Biological Tactical Detection System (JBTDS) Analysis of Alternatives (AOA). Technologies may reasonably be expected to reach Technology Readiness Level 6 or higher by April 2008 are of interest. Light weight, low cost, autonomous, battery operable systems requiring minimal training and consumables are also of interest. Responses should include sufficient technical information to communicate the technical approach, the level of maturity, and current and predicted performance and logistics characteristics. Journal references, vendor and independent test reports, and photographs are desired. Respondents are asked to specify business size and applicable NAICS code(s).
