- Description
- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis . This is not a solicitation. The purpose of this synopsis is to identify other qualified sources, prior to the release of any potential solicitation, to acquire a National Security Agency (NSA) Type 1 certified Remote ReKey (RRK) system with the capability to rekey and manage Communication Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC) devices at remote, unmanned locations. The Government is contemplating the issuance of two (2) Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contracts for the design of the RRK system. Each contract will consist of a CPFF for System Integration (Basic), a CPPF option for System Demonstration (Option 1) and a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) option for Production (Option 2). The Government intends to exercise only one contract for System Demonstration (Option 1). Only the contractor who performs System Demonstration (Option 1) will be eligible to perform Production (Option 2). Please provide answers to the following questions. Please send responses via email no later than 14 August 2006 to: christine.mccomas@lackland.af.mil a. Are you interested in competing for this requirement? If so, will you be proposing as a Prime Contractor or Subcontractor? b. Are you a Small Business? If so, what is your small business status, e.g., 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, etc? c. Are you a U.S. or Foreign Owned Company? c. Do you have similar experience in development and/or production of these type devices? Please describe your experience in one or two paragraphs. All data received in response to this announcement marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. The Government plans on issuing a Draft Request For Proposal and conducting a Pre-Solicitation Conference prior to issuing a formal solicitation. The Sources Sought announcement is requested for informational purposes only. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
