Description

The VA Medical Center, located at 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE will be issuing a solicition to obtain elevator maintenance services to begin January 1, 2007.The incumbent Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, supervision, incidental engineering, and management required to perform the inspections, testing, maintenance, repair, and component replacement as required to maintain 9 elevators and 2 dumbwaiter equipment systems in accordance with the manufacturer's original specifications. Work includes the performance of service work, preventive maintenance of equipment, routine and periodic inspections and tests, support for elevator inspection contractor and other services as described. The Contractor shall be licensed by the State of Delaware to provide the maintenance and repair services specified in the solicitation. All work shall be performed by elevator mechanics specifically qualified and trained to work on elevator, lifts and dumbwaiter systems and equipment. Evidence of all required licenses, as well as documentation of the qualifications of personnel, shall be provided to the COTR prior to award of the contract. Responses to the solicitation are due by November 20, 2006 at 2:00 PM.
