Description
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ISSUED ONLY TO CONDUCT A MARKET RESEARCH STUDY FOR AN ANTICIPATED MILITARY PROGRAM. The Seattle District Corps of Engineers is currently seeking sourc es that might be interested in participating in a competition for several contracts as part of an FY07 program to Replace Family Housing Phase 7 at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana, NAICS Code 236115. The entire scope of the Phase 7 Program is antici pated to involve a magnitude of construction greater than $100 million. However, the program will consist of four separate construction phases (Phases 7A, 7B, 7C and 7D) to result in four separate contract awards. Each of the procurements will be 100% de signed and will be solicited as design-bid-build construction projects. It is currently anticipated that the first solicitation (Phase 7A) will be issued in February 2007 with the first contract awarded in mid-spring 2007. Subsequent contracts (Phases 7B , 7C and 7D) will be solicited and awarded approximately every 12-18 months as construction phasing of the work allows. Each project will involve the construction of military family housing units, site-work, infrastructure improvements (such as roadways, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, electrical distribution, waterlines), and demolition of existing housing units which may include hazardous material abatement. It is anticipated that the period of performance of each contract will be approximately 18 month s to two years. The primary purpose of this notice is for the Government to ascertain the level of competition available from qualified and interested prime contractors in the local Great Falls area as well as contractors outside the local Great Falls are a. As such, interest in this announcement is unrestricted to both large and small businesses located within the United States. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS for this POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT: Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall provide the prime co ntractors name, address, phone number and email address. Interested firms must include their bonding capacity (to include individual bonding limit and aggregate bonding limit), current on-going projects and their bonding amount, as well as the name, POC, and phone number of the firms bonding company. Please also provide a brief capabilities narrative indicating your firms experience with similar-type projects, your firms bonding capability and your firms interest in the anticipated contracts for the Phase 7 Program. Note: Responses to this POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT will be used by the Government to gauge the l evel of competition and help make appropriate acquisition planning decisions. A solicitation is currently not available. Responses to this POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS will not constitute any form of a response to a future solicitation announcement.
