This project uses GE Healthcare (GEHC) Flowcast software in VA healthcare facilities to meet Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) overall revenue improvement goals by testing the viability of an integrated, commercial healthcare patient billing and accounts receivable with the Flowcast software product to enhance first and third party billing processes. The use of this software facilitates standardization in the revenue process and will positively impact key performance metrics of: Days to Bill Improve Accuracy of Billing AR >90 days Increase Collections. VA began configuring the Flowcast software to meet VA and commercial billing rules and to set up the patient management system in 2003. A prior contractor provided these services through September 2006. VA now requires continued use of the Flowcast software to complete project requirements of build, test, and implementation at the Cleveland VA Hospital pilot location, then in a regional implementation, and then nationwide. Under the prior contract, VA acquired Flowcast software licenses for use only at VA hospitals within VISN 10, which includes the Cleveland VA Hospital. The scope of the anticipated contract will include complete implementation of the pilot location and also options for regional and then national implementation. This notice specifically seeks sources that can provide the following services: Complete build of Flowcast software to date Complete integrated testing of Flowcast software with VA systems Complete VA staff training on Flowcast software Complete Implementation and Activation activities This is a request for information only and no solicitation currently exists therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION as there is no assurance that a solicitation will result. Specifically we are seeking firms that have the following requisite capabilities: Necessary access to Flowcast coding that will enable them to perform the required interfaces, or An alternative software solution, with a demonstrated capability to offset the Department's $100+M dollar investment in the current product, as well as being able to accomplish all necessary actions within the time frames currently established.
