Description
The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Software Engineering Resource Center (SERC) at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) has a requirement to procure all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the tasks associated with the development of initial capabilities of the National Aerospace System (NAS) Adaptive Services Environment (NASE) which will enable users to access NASE data and services. The NASE is an initiative of the SERC's Adaptation Improvement Program (AIP). The NASE Software Software Architecture must support the planned incremental release of functionality, techniques for interfacing a variety of data access tools by various FAA organizations, and enable the implementation of all required security strategies. The current aeronautical and adaptation data environment consists of multiple modern and legacy systems and processes. The FAA intends to create a secure IP-based system that facilitates interoperability of NAS support systems. The contractor shall be responsible for the provision of the entire scope within the schedules specified in the individual task orders. The period of performance is a base year with four one year options. The Screening Information Request (SIR) Document with the Statement of Work (SOW) for this procurement is attached as DTFACT-07-SERC. Any questions can be directed to Mario Maccarone via e-mail at mario.maccarone@faa.gov. This SERC SIR will be a full and open competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541512 with a size standard of $18.0 million. The FAA intends to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ), time and material contract.
