- This is a commercial item procurement. The project consists of growing an estimated 1,080,000 bare root conifer tree seedlings from seed, and transplanting an estimated 162,000 containerized seedlings supplied by the Government. Stock types, species and estimated quantities for the bare root requirement will be: 1+1 Douglas-fir, 1,040,000; 1+1 Ponderosa pine, 30,000; 1+0 red alder, 10,000. Stock-types, species, transplant season and estimated quantities for the Government furnished containerized seedlings will be: Western red-cedar produced in 7 cubic inch volume Ray Leech cells for fall 2007 transplant, 22,000; Western red-cedar produced in 7 cubic inch volume Ray Leech cells for spring 2008 transplant, 30,000; western hemlock produced in 7 cubic inch Ray Leech cells for fall 2007 transplant, 20,000; western hemlock produced in 7 cubic inch Ray Leech cells for spring 2008 transplant, 25,000; Sitka spruce produced in 7 cubic inch Ray Leech cells for fall 2007 transplant, 10,000; Grand Fir produced in 7 cubic inch Ray Leech cells for fall 2007 transplant, 10,000; Douglas-fir produced in 4 cubic inch Ray Leech cells for spring 2008 transplant, 30,000; Incense-cedar produced in 4 cubic inch Ray Leech cells for spring 2008 transplant, 15,000. NAICS: 113210. Project site is located in Western Oregon. Estimated start work is December 20, 2006. Estimated issue date is November 9, 2006. This solicitation will be posted electronically. Paper copies are no longer available. The proposed procurement is 70% set aside for small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. See Numbered Note(s) 2.
