Description
U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is seeking potential Service Disabled Veteran Owned businesses for rock replacement and sheet pile for erosion protection of dikes on 14B. The NAICS Code is 237990, with a size standard of $18.5. Res ponses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. No solicitation is currently available. The work consists of the following: Provide and install 700 lineal feet of GADOT type A temporary si lt fence to be placed adjacent to work areas on the northeast dike and the southeast dike areas; Clear approximately 8 acres of riprap foundations, ramp area(s), and excavation areas; Provide professional surveyor to establish dike and ramp alignments at 1 00-foot intervals and at all PIs, PTs and PCs of turns, both initially and again for final cross sections. (Cross sections will be performed by the Government.); Excavate only as necessary, then provide and install approximately 6,300 tons of bedding s tone and 14,600 tons of armor stone along 1,383 feet of dike on the upstream (west) erosion area; Excavate only as necessary, then provide and install approximately 3,600 tons of bedding stone and 10,400 tons of armor stone along 966 feet of dike on the do wnstream (east) erosion area; (Option 1) Excavate, stockpile and replace earth materials only as necessary, then provide and install steel sheet pile, tie-back anchors and concrete dead-man anchor along alignment defined at edge of dike a distance of 476 feet in horizontal length; Establish and maintain for the duration of all earthwork operations ditching, drainage and dewatering of all surface and groundwater encountered. This work is to be included as an integral cost with the required earthwork to be p erformed. Earthwork volumes herein are estimated. The earth volumes, design template, and other parameters will be adjusted after completion of Government exam survey, subsurface investigation, and sample testing, all prior to design, plans, specification s, and bid package. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
