Description

The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for a Contract for Drydock and Repair of the Government owned and operated floating crane, Derrickboat 65. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and transport ation to move and make the required repairs to the subject service vessel. The vessel is used in the maintenance and repair of navigation structures for the Pittsburgh District Army Corps of Engineers. The floating crane is made of all steel, welded const ruction and was built by Nashville Bridge Company in 1994. The dimensions are as follows: Displacement (@75% tankage): 475 Short Tons; LOA: 74-0; Molded Beam: 52-0; Depth Amidships (@side): 8-9. Available timeframe for work is 1/02/07 through 3/31 /07. Award of this contract will be made subject to availability of funds. This procurement will be advertised as UNRESTRICTED. The Invitation For Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately 11/17/06 on-line only through FedTeDS; therefore, requests for hardco pies of the specifications will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation through FedTeDS at http://www.fedteds.gov.
