This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-13 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This request is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Only quote offered by certified small businesses will be considered for award. NAICS CODE 334519/500 Employees. The Marine Corps Logistics Command Maintenance Center (MC), Albany, GA has a requirement for the following item: CLIN 0001: One (1) each, Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Drive Line Component Test Machine. All prospective bidders a re required to make a site visit to the General Power Train Shop aboard the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany as part of the requirements of this solicitation. The purpose of the visit is to examine and measure the existing machine in order to duplicate it as closely as practicable. Point of Contact for scheduling the site visit is Mr. William Covey, (229)639-6954 william.h.covey@usmc.mil .The contract will require that the machine be built and tested at the contractor?s facility prior to delivery. The MC shall provide the Contractor the drive line components necessary for testing. The Offerors quote is to be for a firm-fixed price. The quoted machine shall include the Frame, all hardware, a TEFC 280 VAC / 3 phase / 60 Hz motor, a tachometer for displaying drive input RPM, an Allen-Bradley Powerflex AC inverter, an Operator Interface for selecting run RPM(s) and duration(s), a Differential Assembly Support fixture identical to the existing fixture, a Drive Shaft Adapter to attach the line shaft to the A.C. motor, an On/Off switch, Test Speed increase/decrease push buttons, Removable/slide Safety Guards with mesh inserts, Two (2) copies of an Operator?s, Maintenance, and Parts Manual and one copy of the same in Adobe Acrobat format, delivery, complete installation on site, start-up, and calibration / test. Delivery FOB Destination to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, GA 31704. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this solicitation; will be considered of best value to the Government. The offeror shall also provide its Commercial and Government Entity (Cage) code, Contractor Establishment code (DUNS number) and Tax Identification Number. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) to be considered for award. The United States Marine Corps utilizes WAWF as its ONLY authorized method to electronically process vendor requests for payment.
