Description

This sources sought notice is issued for the purpose of identifying sources for the purchase of various parts for the overhaul of the PAXMAN VALENTA model 16RP200M diesel engines. It is the Government?s intent to procure crankshafts, engine blocks and F/Cambox (A and B banks). All engine parts shall be awarded to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Man B&W Diesel, Inc, or their authorized distributors that can provide certification that the parts sold are NEW genuine OEM parts or to a supplier that has previously supplied engine parts to the Government for the overhaul of the PAXMAN VALENTA Model 16RP200M Diesel Engines. Interested sources shall provide complete documentation showing that the parts they are capable of providing conform to the specifications for PAXMAN VALENTA Model 16RP200M Diesel Engines. The contractor shall provide certification of Genuine OEM parts or conformance for each part delivered to the Coast Guard. Delivery should be FOB Destination. The delivery address is: USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room, Bldg 88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226. Responses to this notice and questions and/or comments shall be submitted to Kathy Brown at Kathryn.E.Brown@uscg.mil no later than 5pm EST on 09 November 2006. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. Responses must be concise and be specifically directed to the requirement referenced above.
