Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager for Ammunition desires the acquisition of 83mm Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon (SMAW) Ammunition as follows: SMAW-HEAA, Rocket Encased SMAW-HEAA MK6-0, DODIC HX06, NSN 1340-01-227-8870. The estimated quantity required is 2,800 rockets. The Technical Data Package for this item is currently unavailable for distribution, however it will be avaliable with any forthcomin solicitation package. The primary objective of this announcement is to identify any and all potential manufacturers of this item. Interested parties must: 1) Have existing production tooling / line capable for comparable items; 2) Have the capability to meet all U. S. Government and Military CONUS / OCONUS storage requirements / restrictions normally imposed on storage of similar munitions; 3) Have the technical expertise and facilities to conduct standard North Atlantic Treaty Organization/ Insensitive Munitions (NATO/IM) safety tests prior to delivery of ammunition; and 4) Must follow all U.S. DOT transportation regulations and not alter the transportation requirements of any vehicle that carries said item. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332993, Ammunition (Except Small Arms) Manufacturing. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Any forthcoming solicitation will require online certifications and representations (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make the offeror ineligible for award. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data, no later than 29 November to Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041, 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134.
