Description
INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) IS ISSUED - ONLY WRITTEN OR FAXED REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE IFB SOLICITATION PACKAGE, NO EXCEPTIONS - FAX No. 602/ 379-6763, Attention - Paul Robinson, Contract Specialist. REQUIREMENT: (a) BERMUDA PALMS LINE, San Bernardino County, CA: New construction of 2.9 miles of12.47 KV distribution line and rebuilding of 3/4 miles of exisitng section of distribution line, installing new steel poles, hardware, conductor and relocating existing services where required; (b) SCOTT ROAD DISTRIBUTION UPGRADE: Construction (REBUILD) to provide upgrading of 1.6 miles of a 12.47 KV distribution line to 3 phase - # 1/0 and 1 - # 1/0 neutral ACSR on newly installed steel poles; some existing poles and one span of exisitng 3 phase - # 1/0 ACSR will be reused; the contract work begins on the Arizona side of the Colorado River, crosses the river and ends immediately on the California side of the river; the contract is an upgrade of an exisitng line and does not involve new line construction. BOTH LINES: (1) 90 calendar day Performance Period per distribution line; (2) the contractor shall recycle or dispose of the removed poles and hardware legally in a qualified landfill; (3) the contractor will supply their own office space, storage areas, facilities, power, water, etc., to complete the project; (4) the contractor will provide California or other state certified foremen, linemen, ground men, equipment operators and apprentices experienced in working on or near high voltage energized power lines; crews may be required to work all or portions of the lines being rebuilt while they are energized; (5) Project site is located on the Colorado River Indian Tribal (CRIT) Reservation. Estimated Price Range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
