- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for the Drydock and Repairs of USCGC HAMILTON (WHEC 715), a 378? high endurance cutter homeported at 32nd Street Naval Station, San Diego, California. All work shall be performed within 75 road miles of the cutter?s homeport at a contractor?s facility certified in accordance with MLCPAC Standard Specification 997 during the period of 18 April 2007 through 12 June 2007. A proposed work list includes: Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart Provide; Fan Space Detacouple Renewal; Hull Plating and Stiffener Renewal; Hull Plating Renewal; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Inspect; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Ultrasonic Testing; Appendages (Underwater) Leak Test; Appendages (Underwater) Preserve, Internal; Propulsion Shaft Fairwaters and Rope Guards Inspect and Repair; Voids (Non-Accessible) Leak Test); Voids (Non-Accessible) Preserve, Internal; Tanks (Chain Locker) Clean and Inspect; Propulsion Shaft Coating Inspect & Test; Propulsion Shaft Seals (Mechanical) Inspect and Clean; Propulsion Shaft Bearings (External) Check Clearances; Controllable Pitch Propeller System General Maintenance; Hubs General Maintenance; Propeller Clean and Inspect; Fuel Oil Booster Pump Overhaul; SSDG Vibration Mount Renewal; Fathometer Transducers General Maintenance; Vent Ducts (Galley and Pantry) Commercial Cleaning; Sea Strainers (All Sizes) Overhaul; Sea Valve (<=2.5 Inches) Renewal; Sea Valve (>2.5 Inches) Overhaul; Steam Relief Valve Overhaul; Steering Gear (General) Overhaul; Steering Gear Ram and Cylinder Repair; Rudder Stock Bearings Check Clearances; Rudders Inspect and Repair; Thruster Unit (General) Overhaul; Thruster Unit Hydraulic Accumulators Inspect and Hydro Test; Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle Inspect and Repair; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Preserve, Partial; Rudders (Exterior) Preserve; Hull Plating, Freeboard Preserve; Cathodic Protection, Zinc Anode Renewal; Ammunition Hoists & Elevators (Gen) Level 2 Inspect & Repair; Temporary Services, Drydock Provide; Sea Trials; Drydocking Accomplish; Appendages (Underwater) Air Test; Tanks (MP Fuel Stowage and Overflow) Clean and Inspect; Replace Crescent Davit with Allied D5700CT Single Point Davit; and Weight Test Allied D5700CT Single Point Davit Pedestal, OTHB Cradle, and Gasoline Stowage Racks Installation. On or about 09 November 2006, an Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued. The solicitation and specification package will be available via electronic means on the FEDBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov. In order to open and download the specifications, offerors must be registered at www.FedTeds.gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through FedTeds.
