- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Net-Centric Services Branch, Hardware/Software Section (DITCO-PL8322), Scott AFB, IL, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to EMC Corporation, 8444 Westpark Drive, McLean, VA 22102 for the purchase of the following two CLINs. (ii) CLIN 0001: ED-48000D 16 Ports-UPG Brocade PB-48000B-16U QTY (2). CLIN 0002: Installation and maintenance; (iii)The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Installation of equipment not procured from EMC or one of its certified resellers requires a 30-day wait period during which serviceability of equipment is not guaranteed since maintenance by a vendor other than EMC would void the maintenance warranty on the Brocade 24000 switches. (iv)Authorized resellers who can provide the above listed requirement must indicate their written interest within 2 business days of this notice. Oral communications are not acceptable. (v) The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-13. (vi) The NAICS code is 423430, the size standard is 100 employees. (vii)Offerors should state whether or not government purchase card is accepted. (viii) Ship to DECC Ogden, ATTN: Carma Rochell 801-605-7418, 7879 Wardleigh Rd., Hill AFB, UT 84056-5996. FOB destination; acceptance at destination. Delivery requested no later than 13 November, 2006. (viiii) FAR 52.246-1 applies to this acquisition. (x) The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4, 52.243-1, 52.247-34, 52.209-9000, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.252-2, 52.252-6.(xi) The following DFARS clauses apply to this acquisition: 252.204-7000, 252.204-7003, 252.212-7001, 252.243-7001, 252.246-7000, (access to clauses can be made via http://FARSITE.HILL.AF.MIL). Section 508 Accessibility Standards apply. (xii) Responses must be received on or before 1pm CST 27 Oct. 2006. Responses received without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the Synopsis. (xiii) A determination to not award this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Office.
