- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA intends to award an airport services contract on a sole source basis to St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, Clearwater, FL. This acquisition will provide the use of airfield runways, taxiways and ramp space for takeoffs and landings; and, associated support services such as fuel storage, utilities, crash, fire and rescue services; and, security guards services required by the Coast Guard Air Station located in Clearwater, FL. The St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required services. This announcement is for informational purposes only and is not a request for quotes. No solicitation is available. The proposed acquisition is a follow-on contract to ongoing contract DTCG84-01-N-AA7003, which expires 30 September 2006. This requirement is solicited in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition, Sole Source; and, using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and the procedures in FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A Firm-Fixed Price type contract will be awarded for a one-year base period, starting 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007; and, four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.
