Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Tactical Support Equipment Inc., 4039 Barefoot Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306, under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 (10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5)) (Sole source awards under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (15 U.S.C. 657f)). The action is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for continued supply of USSOCOM's Special Operations Tactical Video Systems/Reconnaissance and Surveillance Target Acquisition (SOTVS/RSTA) Systems, ancillaries and Training. Tactical Support Equipment, Inc. is the original manufacturer and the only known source with the technical ability to produce, maintain (provide spares and logistics support, etc.), for SOTVS/RSTA. This is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set aside for follow on procurement under FAR 19.1406 for NAICS Code 334220. The ordering period is five years from date of award to allow for the achievement of the approved basis-of-issue plan (BOIP). This notice is not a request for proposal and may constitute the only official notice of this action. See numbered note 22.
