- The Rapid Spacecraft Development Office (RSDO) Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition (RAPID II) is a multiple award, IDIQ, Fixed Price type contract, for satellite bus core systems with any necessary modifications to meet specific Mission needs. The scope of the work includes integration of Government provided scientific instruments, integration and test, shipment of spacecraft to launch site, spacecraft launch support, on-orbit checkout of spacecraft, and on-orbit operations as required. Semi-annually over the life of the contract, the Contracting Officer accepts and evaluates proposals with the intention of adding additional contracts and/or modifying existing contracts to add additional core buses and options. On-Ramp XIV of the RAPID II contract is now opened to receive offers from vendors for the RAPID II contract. Proposals for On-Ramp XIV will be accepted through December 15, 2006. NASA plans to use the Rapid II contract to acquire the Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) spacecraft element. If you are interested in submitting an On-Ramp proposal, please contact the RSDO at 301-286-7586. Proposals shall be subject to the same proposal instructions and evaluation procedures as the Rapid II Request for Offers (RFO) dated August 19, 1999. Please note that the ordering period for all Rapid II contracts will end on January 3, 2008. Proposals for On-Ramp XIV are due NLT 3:00 pm local time on December 15, 2006.
