Description

The National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a prospectus for a new concession contract for ferry services at Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island before the end of December 2006. Interested parties will have 60 days after release of the prospectus to submit offers. The term of the new contract will be ten (10) years. In 2005, the gross receipts for this concession operation were approximately $35,500,000. Parties interested in submitting an offer for this business opportunity will be invited to a site visit at the Park on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Participation in the site visit will not be required to submit an offer but attendance is encouraged. The site visit will begin at 9:00 am on Ellis Island. Access to Ellis Island will be provided from Manhattan via the Park's 8:30 staff boat and by car over the Ellis Island service bridge from Liberty State Park, Jersey City, New Jersey. Interested parties must notify the NPS contact noted herein of their intention to join the site visit, stating all attendees by name, BY EMAIL MESSAGE NO LATER THAN JANUARY 3, 2007, to receive additional directions and security clearance by return email message.
