Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Quotation Reference number is NAAN7200-7-60003. The NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON, 439 West York Street, Norfolk, Virginia has a requirement for Seven (7) Quick Acting Lever Type Doors in accordance with the Detailed Specification MOA2-02(07) as follows: NOAA SHIP THOMAS JEFFERSON MOA2-02(07) October 17, 2006 1. NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON Quick Acting Lever Type Doors 1.1 References (a) Cen-Tex Marine dwg 109-S, ?Quick Acting Lever Type Doors? (b) Cen-Tex Marine dwg 500, ?Plain Fixed Light? 1.2 Government-Furnished Material 1.2.1 None 1.3 Requirements 1.3.1 Provide a lot of seven Quick Acting Lever Type Doors similar in design to references (a) as amplified by the following: a. ABS approved. b. Include a minimum 10 inch fixed light similar in design to reference (b) with an included Blackout Cover. 1. The Blackout Cover shall be constructed and designed so that the fixed lights can be covered and uncovered without removal of the covers. 2. In the open position, the Blackout Cover shall be stowed in a position parallel to the plane of the door. 3. Use bolt standoffs and wing nuts for securing the Blackout Cover in the open and closed positions. c. All steel materials to be ABS grade. d. All grease fittings, washers, cotter pins, springs, wedges, and shims shall be Stainless Steel. e. All bushings shall be Oilite Bronze. f. All gaskets shall be Neoprene. g. All packing shall be Teflon. h. All hinge pins shall be brass. i. All doors shall have a factory applied primer coat except tape the outer ? inch of the frame to keep the welding edge free of primer. j. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in the central contractor registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. For information regarding registration in CCR contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. The FSC for this is 2090 and the NAICS Code is 332999, small business size standard is 500 employees. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-13. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies.
