Description

SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. (NAVFAC) Expanding Foam Soil Stabilization, Compaction & Slab Jacking This notice is a market research tool to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing the RFP. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. The intent of this notice is to identify potential businesses capable of providing expanding foam injection and slab jacking capabilities in support of DoD airfield damage repair (ADR) research. The contract if pursued will consist of working with DoD personnel to demonstrate foam injection/slab jacking technologies as a means of filling voids to stabilize and compact soil sufficiently to provide a solid base for airfield/runway operations. The contract will involve working with DoD engineers to identify, select and demonstrate those expanding foam materials and foam injection technologies that hold the most promise for specific applications.
