- The work includes the construction of an Army Reserve Center at Granite City Illinois consisting of a combined Training Building and Organization Maintenance Shop (OMS) / Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) vehicle maintenance building, a Genera l Purpose Warehouse, an Unheated Storage (Unh Strg) Building, a Privately Owned Vehicle Parking (POV) area, a Military Equipment Parking (MEP) area, associated paved access and service drives, landscaping, demolition of existing structures, related site an d utility work and incidental related work. The combined Training/OMS/AMSA Building is approximately 67,620 square feet. This building is a single story brick, CMU block veneer building and metal panels with perimeter masonry load bearing walls and interi or steel frame structure, an insulated asphalt shingle roof system, a modified bitumen roofing system, an automatic fire sprinkler system, HVAC, electrical and communication systems. The Training Center/OMS/AMSA Building houses offices, classrooms, an Ass embly Hall, kitchen, caged storage areas, an arms vault, toilet rooms, showers, locker rooms, vehicle maintenance bays, an oil/water separator, mechanical, vehicle exhaust system and electrical rooms. The General Purpose Warehouse is approximately 4.600 sq uare feet. This building is a heated pre-engineered metal building with insulated sectional overhead doors, hollow metal doors and frames, concrete floor slab, CMU partition walls, metal grate flooring, suspended gypsum board ceiling, an automatic fire sp rinkler system, heating, ventilation and electrical system. This building provides a heated enclosure/garage space for the Army Reserve vehicles along with storage areas for flammable and control waste storage. The Unheated Storage Building is approximate ly 3,620 square feet. This building is an unheated pre-engineered metal building with uninsulated sectional overhead doors, hollow metal doors and frames, concrete floor slab, wire mesh partitions, pallet racks and an electrical system. Building demolitio n requires abatement of lead based paint and asbestos containing building materials, along with removal of concrete building slabs and incidental related work. Meeting sustainable design goals is a part of the work. This is a FULL AND OPEN procurement with the Hubzone 10% price evaluation preference. The Estimated Cost Range of this project is $10 Million to $25 Million. The performance period of the contract is 720 days. The award will be made to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable proposal. The evalua tion factors will be Past Experience, Past Performance, and Price. The solicitation will be issued by the USACE Louisville District on or about 31 Oct 2006 and due on or about 1 Dec 2006.
