- Description
- The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has a requirement to continue contractor support for Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP) operation, preventive and remedial maintenance, other associated equipment, and supporting services for the FRA-owned track geometry cars. The contract DTFR53-02-D-00072 was initially awarded on January 31, 2002. The contract period of performance will be extended through March 31, 2007 and the Maximum Quantity (ceiling) will be increased by 6.3 million to cover the remaining period of performance through March 31, 2007. A follow-on contract is anticipated, and a synopsis was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (formerly known as Electronic Posting System (EPS)) on September 19, 2006. This is an unrestricted notice and all responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency. Perspective offerors are to submit questions and capability statements they may have in writing only via email to Gerald.Rhymes@dot.gov no later than November 01, 2006. The government will not be responsible for any failed transmission or receipt of email correspondence.
