Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F3M0FM6248A200 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Fac 2005-12, Effective 04 Aug 2006. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 332215, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. (v) This requirement consists of one Line Item: 0001 CASES AND GRAPHICS PANEL, Quantity: 8 (vi) Description: STATEMENT OF WORK WILL BE ATTACHED IN AMENDMENT. (vii) Period of Performance is 15 October 2006 to 31 December 2006. FOB shall be destination, and shipping should be included in the unit price. Has this been created by individuals in your organization or another already? Determined by MEO; mission statement encircled with various photos Contractor built cases ? the sizes have ??? marks after the dimensions. Is this an error instead of putting the inch symbol or is the size subject to variation? ? mark is an error, should be inch signs " Will the color of the blue laminate be determined by you or has a specific laminate blue been determined and if so what is the manufacturer name and color number? Color of laminate is to be determined by MEO with contractor expertise Artifacts- can you provide a further explanation on the term used ?very little artifacts?. It is certainly ambiguous in terms of the dimensionality or the quantity of the items. Which is the correct explanation? Furthermore, do you have digital images that will be available to the successful contractor since they will be placed in the case prior to shipment at your location? No digital images, number of artifacts are to be supplied by the contractor, number to be determined by MEO and contractor Contractor supplied panels to be installed on cleats ? what is the type of wall construction? Wall construction is dry wall on metal studs. What is the finish of the aluminum Nielsen frame # 117 to be? #117 is the profile/shape not the finish. Finish on Nielsen 117 is to be determined Each panel is to have a snap frame- what is the size or is this to be determined during the course of the design portion by the contractor? Snap frame size to be determined by contractor expertise The description asks for a composite panel of lambda photos ? Can this be a single lambda photo made from individual photos or can it be individual photos mounted to create a composite group of images on the panel. Again the terminology is ambiguous. Lambda mural is a composite image with additional images overlaid with back blocks. The images should be provided in various forms, negatives, photos, prints, books, posters, etc. and the contractor must provide the scans "Contractor will design, deliver, and install 4 each 60? wide x 74? high x 16? deep display cases with blue laminate, lighted, 18? high base, aluminum frame, 6 adjustable glass shelves 12? deep, sliding ?? tempered glass doors with locks" 1. Where does the blue laminate go? Is it the exterior color of the cabinet? What is it made of ... what is it adhered to, metal or wood? Blue laminate is the outside finish, white laminate inside 2. Do the words aluminum frame refer to the whole display case or just the 18" high base? 18? high base 3. Do you have a manufacturer's number on the basic model? Cases should be custom, not catalog item
