- A Firm Fixed-price, Five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is anticipated for the following item: Buttstock Subassembly, NSN 1005-01-135-4973 for the M16A2 Rifle. Assembly of subparts, P/N 9349121 Buttstock; 9349130 Butt Plate Assembly; 9381380 Door Assembly, Thumb Latch; 9349120 Screw, Swivel; 8448655 Pin; 8448653 Hinge; 9448652 Swivel. Buttstock and Butt Plate are manufactured from plastic moldings. Remaining parts are manufactured from steel and aluminum material. Injection molding and forging requirements. Heavy phosphate coating required process must be approved before production can commence. Level of packaging and preservation is Commercial. FOB is Destination. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The approximate issue date will be 10 October 2006 with an approximate response date of 9 November 2006. ONLY MANUFACTURERS ON THE QUALIFIED SUPPLIERS LIST (QSL) WHICH APPEAR ON THE TACOM QSL FOR PLASTIC SPARE PARTS FOR SMALL ARMS QSL-02 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. THE PROVISIONS GOVERNING QUALIFICATION, AND THE APPLICABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA MAY BE VIEWED EL ECTRONICALLY AT THE FOLLOWING WEB SITE: http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/qsl/qsl.htm This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the In ternet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time se t for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render you r bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (o ptional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, and Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet. A signed Non-disclosure and Non-use agreement must be submitted to the Contract Special ist before the TDP will be released to vendors. Notes 1 and 9 apply.
