Description
Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC) anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Scanditronix Wellhofer for an upgrade of our existing Wellhofer physics QA system. The VAMC has a requirement for the following items, but not limited to: upgrade from standard 48x48x48 phantom to Blue Phantom(without software upgrade), RTPS interface for Pinnacle plus, CC13 Ion Chamber-0.13ccm, BNC connector; TNC-BNC Adapter; Upgrade existing controller to CU500E; LDA-99 complete linear detector array system for Blue Phantom; Upgrade from WP600 or WP700 to latest version OmniProTM-Accept Software; Dell Pentium 4 Notebook Computer. It is believed, for proprietary reasons that Scanditronix Wellhofer is the only company that can provided the required upgrades. The NAICS code is 621512 with a small business size of $11.5 Million. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 for commercial items will be followed. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be issued. Solicitation number RFQ-618-279-06 has been assigned. Formal bid documents are not available. Anyone wishing to respond to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that they can meet these requirements. Interested parties that feel they have the ability to provide the required service/supply have four (4) calendar days from publication of this notice to submit in writing their qualifications and capabilities information including technical data and pricing in to this office for consideration. Such qualifications, capabilities and pricing will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
