Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Augusta, Maine has a requirement for GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES at its Portland Veterans Center located at 475 Stevens Avenue, Portland, Maine. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel to provide Grounds Maintenance Services, to include: 1) Snow plowing of parking area on the property, as necessary per snowstorm; 2) Access to the city sidewalks shall be kept clear and passable; 3) Sand or salt shall be applied as necessary to maintain safe driving and walking conditions; 4) Lawnmowing and grass trimming as necessary to maintain a neat appearance of grounds, to include removal of all lawn clippings. Contract services are to be provided as needed, twenty-four hours per day/seven days per week, nights and holidays. Contractor shall be licensed in the State of Maine. Annual estimated amounts: 10 service trips Snowplowing; 10 yards sand/salt; 15 service trips Lawnmowing. These are estimated only; the Federal Government is obligated to pay only for services actually rendered. The applicable NAICS Code is 561730 with a size standard of $6.5 Million. Contract period will be one year from date of award with four available one-year option periods. This acquisition is SET ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS. Solicitation packages will be available on or about September 21, 2006. Solicitation closes at 3:00 p.m. EST, October 20, 2006. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY07 funds.
