Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE F2Q3696229A200.is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This project is currently not funded and any award is subject to availability of Fiscal Year 2007 funds (FAR 52.232.19). Written documentation will not be issued for this quote. (iii) The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 13. The NAICS code is 334513 with a size standard, averaged over a one year period of 500 . The following requirements are applicable: Hazardous Vapor and Gas Identifier/Instrument Specifications: Instrument shall provide rapid identification of over 5,500 potentially hazardous gases and vapors. The system shall compare the unknown vapor or gas against an onboard database to provide the identity of the unknown. Instrument shall identify, Toxic Industrial Chemicals, Chemical Warfare Agents, Volatile Organic Compounds, Flammables and Non-Flammables. Instrument shall also provide critical information that allows perform accurate LEL readings of flammables, perform accurate PID readings of low level toxics, select the correct colorimetric tubes for quantification, and Identify high ionization potential products. Instrument shall be capable of Infrared (IR) technology and Molecular fingerprinting to identify products in a gas cell to obtain the spectrum of samples. Use the process is called thermal desorption (TD), providing a way for gases and vapors to easily be captured and isolated, then subsequently identified at low concentrations. Unit shall be capable of using a specialized sampling device to capture a sample and bring it out of the hot zone to the IR analyzer. The device is a sealed sample holder that attaches to an intrinsically safe handheld pump. (includes USB port, PS/2, Ethernet port, Keyboard/Mouse port, and power port) - USB Storage Device ? at least 128 MB capacity -Keyboard and mouse to be used with instrument - CD ROM Drive for library and software installation - Rechargeable batteries: (2 batteries for Instrument, heater and pump, and one battery for sampling pump) - External Battery Chargers (3 Minimum) Sampling Device - Thermal desorption (TD) technology with dual sorbent packing to cover wide range of sample vapor pressures - 2- Tube Holder Modules - Fully sealable TD tube holder with quick connect valve fittings - 2 Intrinsically safe sampling pumps (UL, CE, and ATEX approved) capable of 20-225 mL/min flow rate - Powered by rechargeable NiMH battery - TD heater on GasID powered by 110/220 Vac or rechargeable battery pack - Tedlar bag sampling Kit (includes 10 Tedlar Bags) Sampling Kit - Thermal Desorption Sampling Kit ? with 400 customized tubes for analysis and 100 standard tubes for training purposes. Accessories - One year warranty and partnership program plus an additional 3 year partnership program extension for total of 4 years. - Partnership shall include at a minimum: Free software updates, All parts and labor to repair system, Free Loaner ( Delivered by overnight carrier), Access to proprietary website, 24/7 reach back to access to Ph.D. Chemists, engineers and applications scientists for special interpretation assistance and/or technical support and On-Site training ? one-day HazMat integration training at 1 CES/CEF for up to 16 people.
