Description
Notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Spacesaver Storage Systems, Inc. located at 1450 Janesville Avenue, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. The award will be made for the purchase of M4 weapon racks, quantity three hundred and twenty thre e (323) and M4 weapon racks with pistol supports, quantity ninety five (95). This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, for Other than Full and Open Competition and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Proce dures. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to USPFO for Tennessee Contracting Division Attn: Randal Halbrooks, PO Box 41502 Nashville, or sent by email to randal.halbrooks@ng.army.mil . Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 4:30 PM Central Daylight Time (CST), Wednesday, September 6, 2006. A determin ation not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. The following specifications are the necessary physical, functional and performance characteristics for weapon racks required by the Tennessee Army National Guard. Rack must be certified as approved by Headquarters Department of the Army and U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Rock Island, in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 190-11 paragraph 4-2(6)(c). Doors shall be constructed of metal and designed in such a way as to allow visibility of weapons stored inside while the doors are closed. Weapons racks shall have retractable doors to keep aisle clear and save space. Weapons racks shall have the ability to store ten (10) each M4 weapons with optical sig hts mounted on them. Weapons racks shall have pistol supports to store a quantity of nine (9)M9 pistols with the M4 rifles. Cabinet shall be constructed of a sturdy solid top and bottom so the racks can be stacked as well as prevent dust and damage to weap ons. Dimensions: Approximately 42 W and 15.25 deep to accommodate Optical Sites. Weapons racks shall have the following features to allow for ease of transportation: Base plate to secure the weapon stock, barrel supports to secure the barrel, cabinet han dles for four man lift. Weapons racks shall also have the capability to be configured to store multiple types of weapons in the same rack at the same time. Vendor shall be able to deliver the entire quantity required no later than October 13, 2006.
