Description
The NTC Acquisition Command, Fort Irwin, California intends to extend services to its existing Logistics Support Services Contractor, Northrop Grumman, pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 (a)(2) (ii i)(B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements in conjunction with exercise of FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services.. The contract action will be accomplished by modification, to meet an e xisting need for the continuance of Field Maintenance and Echelon Above Brigrade Support Services with no disruption. The extension of services will be for a period of six (6) months, 01 October 2006 through 31 March 2007, for an estimated $22M. Descripti on of Services: Field Maintenance - Provide Field Maintenance which combines organizational and direct support maintenance. Field maintenance is to be accomplished in accordance with the Armys transformation policy (effective July 2005) and Army Regulatio n 750-1, Army Material Maintenance Policy. Echelon Above Brigade - Provides logistic support to Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) at the National Training Center. In coordination with Echelon above Brigade (EAB) Support Battalion Tactical Operations Center, prov ide logistics functions and mission support in accordance with the BCT logistical support plan. This mission includes, but is not limited to, Transportation Operations, Organic Field Maintenance Operations, Supply and Services Operations and Forward Ammu nition Supply Point (FASP). It includes field services support (movement of supplies and materials to the Forward Operating Bases) via execution of Combat Logistics Patrol (CLP) operatives. This function should closely mirror the layout of an Army Combat S ervice Support Battalion (CSSB) organization.
